What makes Belmil bags ergonomic?
We are constantly improving the unique ergonomic properties of our bags. During our work, specialists and orthopedists help us to produce
the healthiest possible bags for growing children.
Our ergonomic products are made with widened shoulder straps, which can be adjusted to fit to the children’s body shape, a backrest that follows the line of the back, and additional chest and belly straps. Our ergonomic efforts are proven by the fact that the German AGR officially recommends our products! Read more about AGR certification and ergonomics HERE.
What is the difference between each type of bag?
Our 4 main collections are the Smarty, Comfy, Compact sets and a Backpack with Fanny pack (2-in-1) collection. The bags of the collections differ in size, design, and bag closures. Each type is recommended for children of different ages.
For primary school children and first graders Comfy, Compact and Smarty are the most suitable models. Comfy is the smallest in size, recommended from 100 cm height. Compact is somewhat larger, being suitable from 110 cm, while Smarty is our largest model, recommended from 120 cm height. Each model is rgonomic and designed with a magnetic buckle.
2-in-1 Backpack and fanny pack is suitable for children from 130 cm. It is recommended for school and other activities with a laptop compartment and a removable fanny pack!

What size children do we recommend each type for?
Each of our bag collections is for different children. Below we describe the age groups we ecommend, but it is important to know that children's bodies may differ. On our bags, this can be corrected with adjustable shoulder, belly and hip straps.
- Comfy set: from 100 cm
- Compact set: from 110 cm
- Smarty set: from 120 cm
- 2 in 1 set: from 130 cm
How should our bags be properly adjusted to the child's size?
Belmil school bags have many adjustment points, so they can be adjusted according to the body shape of every child. Please watch our video below for a brief introduction to the correct settings.
How to safely clean Belmil products?
School bags should be washed and cleaned by hand. Please note that the products are not allowed to be washed in a washing machine! The "Rain cover" product can help keep the bag clean. Are all Belmil bags waterproof?
All Belmil Premium school bags contain a waterproof layer that resists rain and ensures easier cleaning. This layer protects the bag from rain for many years, but when it rains heavily, it can be useful to buy a rain cover for our bags!
What does the AGR rating on bags mean?
Due to the joint work and the quality of our products, our school bags have earned the German official ergonomic AGR seal, which can be an important decision-making aid for our customers. Only the best products tested by the authorities can receive the ergonomic seal of AGR!

Where and who manufacture Belmil products?
We are a family company since 1965, founded by our grandfather Istvan Benak. (He is 93 years old, still actively thinks about company-related things :) ) Today it is managed by second and third generations. Our factory is located in Europe, giving jobs to more than 200 local families and supporting many more local suppliers. Our products are sold to children around the globe in more than 26 countries.
Since we also have families and small (grand)children (0-10 years of age), we know what are the most important aspects of ergonomics, safety and design. Children can be picky when it comes to the look of schoolbags, therefore the design process is rigorous and often accompanied and tested by our final little users 🙂

What is the order process?
You can easily place your order in our webshop, it only takes a few clicks!
Choose the school bag you like, then place it in your basket. After that, you only have to enter a few delivery details and your order immediately arrives in our system, where our colleagues will process it and take care of shipping.

Is it possible to order out-of-stock products?
Unfortunately, our out-of-stock products can no longer be ordered on the webshop, but you can contact us and we’ll happily check if the item will be available anytime soon.
Can parts of the sets be purchased separately?
The products in the sets can only be purchased as a set, but You can buy some school bags, pencilcases and gymbags individually!
What payment methods do you accept?
We try to accept as many options as possible and support online payment! You can pay by PayPal, or credit/debit cards: we accept: Visa, MasterCard, or AmEx bank cards on our website. You can make a simple bank transfer to our IBAN number too 😊
Can the products be ordered on other platforms?

Which countries do we deliver to and what is the delivery fee for each country?
We can currently deliver our products to all EU countries. Click HERE for exact shipping rates!
How many days will it take for the package to arrive from the order?
This mainly depends on the distance from our warehouse, but all our packages arrive at the address on average between 2-4 days from the order within the EU 😊
Which shipping company will deliver the package?
We work with DHL and GLS. Our packages are delivered by the couriers of these two companies.
I entered the wrong address, what can I do?
If you entered the wrong delivery address, but you have not yet received confirmation from the courier service that your package is on the way, please write to us at the e-mail address below.

If your package is already with the courier service, you must notify them. Their contact information can always be found in the notification sent by them!
My ordered package has arrived, but I don't want to keep it. What can I do?
You can use the right of cancellation for 14 days from the date we sent Your product for Your address. In this case, you will be charged for returning the package!
Please contact us, before You want to return one of our products!
How long can I exercise my right of withdrawal? (right of withdrawal)
You can cancel your order and return the product to us within 14 days from the date of receipt the package. During this time you can return the product to us without giving a reason. To do this, you must pack all accessories, as we can only buy back complete packages. Please let us know your intention to return it by letter and provide your bank account number so that the refund can go smoothly.
What can I do if I received a wrong product or defective package?

How long is the warranty for Belmil products?
Our warranty periods are divided as follows:
- Our Smarty, Comfy, Compack, 2-in-1 school bags: 3 years
- Gym bag, Petite bag, pencil case and rain cover: 2 years
The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase.

Do I have to pay for the defective product packaging and return shipping?
You must arrange for the packaging of the defective productready for dispatch, but we will cover the cost of returning it!
